Assuming anon is coming to the Detroit area for the first time: Walk the riverfront & Hart plaza, the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village, motown museum, get shawarma in Dearborn (okay, maybe that was just my favorite experience, but it should be on everyone's list). DetroitMoxie(.)com has a "40 things to do in Detroit" list & a weekend highlights every week too.
Dont forget the Riverwalk, the Majestic Theater, Mexican town, Greek town, the DSO, The Warrior Grille (On campus) and of course, the occasional tumblr meet up. Avoid Wayne State cops at all costs as they have NOTHING better to do than play solitaire on the computer and ticket the shit out of you. Congrats Warrior!
Just got accepted to Wayne State (WHEW)! Is there a Detroit Bucket List? You know, like a list of things I gotta do while I'm there for school.
First off, congratulations! Second, I’m quite reserved so I don’t exactly know what the majority of WSU students do with their free time while in the city. I suppose I can list a few things that I’ve enjoyed doing around here and if anyone has anything to add, please please please do!

Comerica Park still has that just-opened ring and sensation to it. But the Tigers home is heading into its 13th season, and like any child that has reached adolescence, it has outgrown some of its old togs.
Opening Day will feature a new look, as heavy on customer service as it is on technological glitter. The left-field scoreboard is about to increase in size and scope to become one of the largest video-presentation areas in pro sports — and the largest video board in Michigan.
“It’s expansive,” said Duane McLean, executive vice president of business operations for the Tigers, who along with vice president of park operations Mike Healy, has overseen the conversion.
Said Healy: “This is a major construction project. One of the biggest since the ballpark opened.”
